Chandramukhi 2 Drops a Gripping Trailer, Starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence
Sunday was a day of cinematic celebration in Chennai as the much-awaited trailer for Chandramukhi 2 was released. With Kangana Ranaut donning the role of the elegant dancer in Vettaiyan Raja’s court and Raghava Lawrence showcasing a captivating dual performance, the film is set to be a significant milestone in Tamil cinema.
The intrigue unfolds as a large family decides to inhabit a mansion with a sole intent – resolving a pressing issue. But there’s a twist; they’re warned against venturing into the south block, the dwelling place of the stunning Chandramukhi. Seventeen years down the line, a two-century-old tale emerges, drawing parallels between a king, a court dancer named Chandramukhi, and current events.
Radiating charm and grace, Kangana Ranaut was spotted in a striking yellow and blue saree at the trailer launch, further accentuating her allure. The Chennai event saw her in a stylish bun, adorned with a gajra, resonating with her character’s elegance.
Diving deeper into the Chandramukhi 2 realm, P Vasu directs this cinematic saga which also showcases the talent of Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, and many others. As a successor to the Tamil horror-comedy Chandramukhi—a box-office triumph featuring Rajinikanth and Jyothika—anticipation runs high. Thanks to Lyca Productions and Subaskaran, film enthusiasts can mark Ganesh Chaturthi on September 15 for the multi-language release.
The film’s musical landscape, crafted by the Oscar-winning MM Keeravani, was celebrated in Chennai at the audio launch. Keeravani didn’t hold back in his praise for Kangana, predicting audiences will be in awe of her portrayal of Chandramukhi.
Not to mention, a couple of melodies have already been making waves. Tracks like “Swagathaanjali” and “Moruniye” have offered fans a musical glimpse of what’s in store.
